From a Kona coffee farm to the majestic black sands of the Kona coastline, your passionate guide is there to ensure exceptional service and experience. Take a gentle hike along ancient lava fields in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park before arriving at Kilauea Lodge for a three-course dinner, where the wait staff orchestrate a perfectly timed procession of Hawaiian-infused dishes, each carefully decorated with locally sourced ingredients. This isn’t any tour of the Big Island – this is a celebration of Mother Nature and the chance to connect with her while creating life-changing memories.

Recommendations:

We recommend bringing a small backpack or tote bag for your personal items as there is plenty of room in our spacious cabin.
What to Wear: Although Hawaii is home to the endless summer, there are places and times where the temperature can drop substantially. Weather can change dramatically from hot and humid to cool and wet conditions.
Kailani Tours Hawaii requires wearing comfortable closed-toe footwear.
A hat and sunglasses are optional but highly recommended.
Most guests wear a light jacket or bring long pants for after sunset and stargazing at Volcano National Park (dependent on weather and visibility).
Despite visiting the black sand beach, we will not be swimming on this tour so bathing suits and/or towels are not recommended.

Restrictions/Requirements:

This tour is for guests 5 years and older. It does not include lengthy hikes.
This tour is not recommended for women who are pregnant or may be pregnant.
Passengers traveling with a wheelchair or walker are more than welcome to join our tour. Please note, our vans are equipped to handle easy storage of a wheelchair or other medical equipment. But we do not have a wheelchair lift.
A combined minimum of 4 guests is required for a tour to operate. Should a tour not meet the tour minimum, customers will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. Advance notice will be provided at least 12 hours before the start time.
Max 13 passengers per luxury vehicle.
Tour description and itinerary is subject to change. Due to the topographical and weather changes that have recently affected the tour area, some attractions and sites may be unreachable or unsafe to visit. Park officials have recently reopened Hawaii Volcanoes National Park with several restrictions as they continue to make repairs. Park officials have been known to restrict entry without notice. Kailani Tours Hawaii will not issue refunds caused by park restrictions.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your pick-up location.
Water, snacks, and two meals will be served. The tour makes occasional stops for snacks and beverages.

Lunch:*
Savor lunch alongside locally grown and processed tastings at a private tea farm and winery. Enjoy an oven-roasted turkey breast sandwich on Punaluʻu Hawaiian Sweet Rolls with Waipoli butter lettuce, island-style kettle chips and a fresh baked locally sourced macadamia nut tart.
Dinner:*
At the Historic Kilauea Lodge you will experience an elevated three-course dinner prepared with locally sourced ingredients . There will be the options on a pre-fixed menu that includes soup or salad, an entree and a dessert. Guests will be able to choose from four seasonal menu entrees that include chicken, fish, pork and vegetable options. Your guide will give you menu choices on the tour and dinner will be called into Kilauea Lodge in advance.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time and allow a 5-minute window for your driver to arrive.
