Enjoy Beach Horseback Riding On Oahu!
Enjoy our beautiful oceanfront trail on the famous North Shore! Perfect for both experienced riders or for guests who have never ridden a horse before, our beachfront horseback rides offer a fun and unique experience. You will be riding real working polo ponies who will take very good care of you.
During your ride, you’ll have a spectacular view of the ocean and may catch a glimpse of a sea turtle who likes to come feed on the rocks in front of the polo field. Daytime trail rides provide crystal-clear views of the expansive ocean (weather permitting). You can see the marine life below the surface, catch glimpses of playful dolphins or sea turtles, and enjoy the unobstructed visibility of the horizon. The clarity of the daylight enhances the overall experience, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the coastal beauty of Oahu. You will be riding real working polo ponies who will take very good care of you.

- Low Season Rates: October 25 – November 21, 2026; November 30 – December 14 & January 21 – February 12, 2027
Schedule:
- Availability: Daily
- Tour time: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM
- Duration: 60-90 Minutes*
*Varies based on group sizes and how individual horses move.
Recommendations:
- Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended, but not required.
- Bring your phone or camera, and your guide will capture your memories for you!
Requirements/Restrictions:
- Minimum age is 8 years old.
- Maximum weight to ride is 230 lbs. If your weight is in question, we do reserve the right to weigh you on a scale and cancel your trail ride without a refund if your weight exceeds the 230 lbs limit.
- Capacity: Up to 8 Riders
- Not suitable for pregnant women.
- Please don’t bring any backpacks or purses, we have saddlebags for small, personal items such as cell phones and cameras!
- Helmets are a requirement for the ride, and are provided!
- You must be physically able to ride and stay on a horse safely (in extreme cases it is staff decision).
- Safety is our top priority for both our guests and horses, so we do not permit trotting or cantering. Our trail is a guided walking trail along the beach. The sand in Hawaii is too deep for the horses to go faster than a walk.
- Guests must listen to and abide by staff instructions at all times. Guests who don’t follow instructions will have to dismount and be picked up in a vehicle, brought back to the stable, and not eligible for a refund.
- Rainouts/cancellations due to weather are at company’s discretion.
- Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the ride to be eligible for a refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the ride are non-refundable. No exceptions.
- Hawaii Polo Trail Rides issues no refunds due to traffic and 100% of the booking total will be kept.
- All participants must complete waivers prior to participation.

*There are about 4 places on the island with this very same address. It is imperative that you include the town “Waialua” when putting the address into GPS, Google, or Apple Maps. Once you arrive at the destination from the GPS, we are a half-mile further down the road. You will see signage upon arrival directing you to our exact location.

Check-in: Please check in 30 minutes before your trail ride at the green building.
Special Notes:
Please allow ample time for parking and traffic. Trail Rides start right on time! If you are coming from Waikiki, we suggest leaving at least 2 hours prior to the start of the ride, we do not want you to miss the whole experience.
