The main airport for the Honolulu area is the Daniel K Inouye international Airport. With roughly 21,000,000 passengers every year this is one of the busiest airports in the United States. One of the principal airlines for this area is Hawaiian Airlines and they offer flights to the United States, China, South Korea, Australia, Tahiti, Japan and more. A number of direct flights from North America and Pacific Rim destinations make their way into the airport daily.

Established services between JFK and Atlanta as well as Toronto Pearson have been added quite recently as well. The original name of this airport was the John Rogers airport but since expansion the airport now just as the John Rogers terminal. Modernization of the airport has taken place since the year 2006 with improvements to security, passenger services and more. The airport is made up of three main terminals including the inter-island terminal, main terminal and the main overseas terminal. There is transport buses between each of these terminal areas and ticket counters at all three main check in terminals.
