Schedule:

  • Availability: Daily
  • Tour Times: 9:00 AM
  • Duration: 3 Hours

Guaranteed to see dolphins or turtles (and whales when whales are in-season December through April) or come back FREE on same or lesser-value trip including on Oahu.

Hop aboard this terrific snorkel power catamaran, with ample seating and shade. Enjoy the coastal sights and a refreshing swim and snorkel.

Head along the rugged and scenic shore of Kohala, viewing lava walls, rocky points, patches of sandy beaches, and gulches rising to the Kohala ridge — the oldest part of Hawaii Island. Pods of dolphins can be spotted along this shore and whales in whale season. It is a serene and unspoiled scene with very little boat traffic, making for an extraordinary experience.

Snorkeling is among some of the best on the island, and ours is often the only boat at the sight. Snorkel sights include Lapakai State Park, Puako, Crystal Cove, Turtles, Beach 69 and Kiholo Bay. Sitting above Kawaihae Harbor is Pu’ukohola Heiau, meaning hill of the whale.

Includes:

  • Snorkel fins, vest and in-water assistance from expert crew
  • Picnic lunch: Sandwich, chips and a cookie
  • Soda, juice & water

Wildlife Guaranteed: If you don’t see marine wildlife, come back again 1 more time for free! (Rerides only, no refunds. Reride is on trip of equal or lesser value.).

Location: Kawaihae Harbor (Convenient to Kona-Kohala resorts)
Address: 61-3527 Kawaihae Road, Waimea, HI 96743
Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/SUrCLpvVu3XCbHj16

Check in:
You will see at the Kawaihae Harbor entrance signs for “Matson” and “Young Brothers.” Take a left turn where it says “Port of Kawaihae Office,” then turn left just before the guard shack. At the end of that road, turn right at next crossroads stop sign and drive thru Gate 11. Head straight out toward the ocean, turn left at Gate 12, and continue toward the comfort station and yellow gate that is between two large boulders. If it is locked, someone will meet there and open it for you. The vessel is homeported at the Makai end of the dock, at slip S-01, but will most often board from the loading area near the front of the docks.

Special Notes:
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to scheduled tour time.
