Explore Jurassic Valley on Horseback
Time to giddy up on our two-hour horseback walking tour. This guided tour offers guests the opportunity to see the valleys and pastures through the eyes of paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy). Walking at a leisurely pace through quiet forests and along dirt trails, you’ll experience the spectacular scenery of Kualoa and the iconic Ka’a’awa “Jurassic” valley.
Schedule:

- Duration: 2 Hours (includes training and safety briefing)
Recommendations:
- Long pants & sunscreen highly encouraged
Requirements/Restrictions:
- Minimum Age: 10 years old.
- Minimum height: 4’6″
- Maximum weight: 230 pounds
- Helmets are required
- Guests 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
- Guests with back problems and expecting mothers are not advised to participate in this tour.
- All tours are single rider only (No doubling or packing)
- Closed toe/Closed heel shoes required
- Loose clothing or articles, including backpacks, purses, or camera bags are not allowed on the tour
- Must attend briefing
- Must sign Liability Waiver
- Photo IDs matching the names on this reservation must be shown at check-in

Tour Reviews
To start with – We have never ridden a horse before and for this reason, we really argued between the 1 hour or 2 hour before booking. Just let me say we did the right thing by booking the 2 hour tour ( 1 hour is not enough to cover the distance and see everything) and the fact that we had never been on a horse before was not a problem at all.
Firstly this is organized very well, our guide Josie was amazing – not only is she very knowledgeable about films/TV filmed, she really takes an interest in the people on her tour – making sure they have a good time, relaxing us on our first horse ride- not to mention the number of pics she took for us.
In summary, The scenery was fabulous, Josie was amazing and the Ranch itself something not to be missed.
Family of 7 with 5 kids ages 12-19. Loved the 2 hour trip.
Michael our guide was a perfect host. The area is beautiful. Lots of movie history. The tour never stops so pictures are always on the move.
No video cameras allowed so have to use your phones.
No bugs on our trip and direct sun was a minimum since going under trees and the mountains can also block the sun. We felt this was a memorable expedition and as a family we will always remember it!
This was one of the most scenic horseback rides we have ever been on. Our guide was also very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend. Do an effort to book the two hours. You will love it!
