Venture onto private land behind 3 locked gates to explore the upper slopes of Kona’s very own volcano – Hualalai. This journey provides intimate, unique access to the site of multiple volcanic eruptions from the 1800s, all within a short distance. Explore a unique lava tube and capture scenic views of the coastline. We also offer private exclusive tours for groups of 12 or more, please call us for more information.

- Trail bar snack and water refills (Please bring your own reusable bottle!).

Restrictions/Requirements:
- Tour is for ages 8 years and older.
- Minimum 4 participants, Maximum of 10 participants
- Guests should be able to hike on uneven or rocky terrain. We sometimes encounter cool and wet conditions. Our tour ranges from sea level to 6,000 feet. We will meander on a single-track trail through native forest with an elevation change of approximately 800 feet. While exploring the lava tube, expect to descend and ascend approximately 30 – 40 feet.
