Since 1985, HST Windsurfing & Kitesurfing School has been setting the standard for quality windsurfing lessons on Maui. Instruction for all skill levels is available year-round. Learn to windsurf, or take your skills to the next level with Maui’s best instructors.
Our Windsurfing classes are for first timers and advanced beginners:
Our Group lessons are 2.5 hours lessons from 9am – 11:30am.
- 1 instructor for groups of 2-4 students
- All equipment included
Group lessons:
The classes are appropriate for windsurfers that are working on the basic sail handling skills of tacking, jibing, sheeting in and out. This is generally conducted in mild to moderate winds. Life jackets and water shoes are provided at no additional cost. Ability to swim is not a pre-requisite but life jackets are provided and must be worn during the lessons. Equipment is appropriate for sail up-hauling but not for waterstarting. Introduction to use of harness is possible upon request in this class format.
Restrictions/Requirements:
- Must by 7 years of age and older.
- Minimum weight of participant 50 lbs.
- Maximum weight of participant 240 lbs.
